Diving Gozo – Nautic Team Gozo

Diving Gozo & Malta. Since 1994. With passion.

Nautic Team Gozo isn't just any dive center. It's the result of a decision to dedicate one's life to diving.

Our History

The dive centre was founded in 1994 by Thomas and Heike – two people who met whilst diving. Their shared passion led to a partnership, and eventually to the idea of living and working in the very place where others spend their holidays. Gozo was no coincidence. The island offers some of the best dive sites in the Mediterranean – and it was here that Nautic Team Gozo was born, with the aim of making diving a more personal and individual experience than in traditional mass-market operations.

In 2022, the centre was handed over to new owners. Laura, who had been part of the team since 2018, and Gregor have been running the Dive Centre together ever since – with the same high standards as on day one, but with fresh energy and new ideas. What has remained is a small, close-knit team that speaks fluent German and English. And the conviction that quality comes before quantity.

Why small groups aren't a marketing promise

Typical for us: 2 to 5 divers per guide. Not just in the low season, not just when things are going well – but every single day, as a conscious decision.

For us, small groups don’t just mean greater safety. They mean we can cater to your preferences. They mean the dive site isn’t simply chosen according to a set formula, but based on what the group really wants to experience. And no one is left behind.

In the end, there’s only one thing that matters to us: that you get out of the water feeling great and happy – after every single dive. This isn’t just a promise on our website, but a standard we set for ourselves, which we prove every single day.

Who we are a great fit for

We dive with beginners, families, experienced recreational divers and technical divers. We get on well with people of all ages and backgrounds – and we’re always thrilled whenever someone scuba dives for the first time or ticks off a dive they’ve had on their list for years.

If you just need a tank and weights and want to dive on your own – that’s no problem either. And if you wish, you can also enter the water independently during organised dives after the briefing at the dive site, provided the requirements are met.

In short: we adapt. Not the other way round.

What else sets us apart

Nitrox (EAN28) is included in every guided dive we offer – at no extra cost. On request, we can organise accommodation, transfers from Malta Airport and everything else you need. This means that, if you wish, you can book your entire diving holiday – apart from the flight – with us as a one-stop service.

Over 40 dive sites on Gozo, Malta and Comino – including wrecks, caves, grottos and tunnels. Most of these are accessible from the shore, making Gozo one of the best diving destinations in Europe.

Why Gozo?

For us, diving in Gozo means more than just great dive sites. Gozo is small, peaceful and easy to navigate – and that’s exactly what makes the difference. No mass tourism atmosphere, no crowds at the entry points. Instead, crystal-clear water, impressive visibility and an underwater world that never ceases to surprise even experienced divers. Anyone who has dived here once will come back – we see this every summer.

What else?

We’re a small team with a huge passion for diving – and we’re always delighted when guests come back. Some have been doing so for years. That means more to us than any review.

For us, scuba diving is more than just a job. And you can tell – at the very latest once you’re underwater.

Coffee, saltwater and good conversation – that’s how we love our days diving in Gozo. If you’d like to join us, just get in touch: info@nauticteam.com
