And again a wreck for Malta and Gozo! - Scuttling of the P31 "PASEWALK" on august 24th - 2009
Gozo und Malta blossom into the Wreck Mekka of the Mediterranean
The P 31, formerly named PASEWALK
used to be a German patrol boat , built at Wolgast, the most north-western city
in Germany, around 1969. After having been sold to Malta in 1992, the vessel
served the AFM – Armed Forces of Malta, to control the sea around Malta.
The history-charged boat is 51.98
metres long and 7.12 metres wide. It lays in app. 20 meters of depth.
As the vessel is located close to
the shallow reef, it is worthwhile doing an extensive tour to the wreck, still
ending the dive on the shallow plateau . Proud and upright on the sandy bottom,
it is an ideal model for underwater photographers. Last but not least, it is
just a short boat trip from Gozo to visit the newly scuttled wreck on the
westcoast of Comino.
The archipelago blossoms more and more into a Mekka for wreck diving in the Mediterranean.

Dive with the "Giants"
Weather permitting, we will offer once weekly, a trip to the Malta Marine Adventure Park -
The idea behind the Marine Adventure Park, which is being run on an experimental and on a trial run basis, is to create an enriched habitat with a variety of Pelagic Fish species that are not protected. At the end of summer all the fish held in the encloures will be tagged, some even with satellite tags and released back to the open sea for scientific research and towards the better management of the wild fish stocks, especially with wild tuna population.

WRECK-& NITROX
On the south coast of Gozo, two wrecks had been sunk in august 2006. The
"KARWELA" is approx. 50 mtr. long and lays on sandy grounds in approx. 39 mtr.
The „COMINO LAND“ is slightly smaller and also lays on sandy grounds on approx.
38 mtr. depth.
Both wrecks have a perfect upright position and offer great possibilities for
uw-photography, both in- and outside. Under the aspect of the well being of each end every
diver, we combined both specialities, WRECK & NITROX in ONE, at a very attractive
rate.
Furthermore, on august 14th,
2007, a former patrol boat of the AFM had been sunk at Cirkewwa.The P29 or
"BOLTENHAGEN" is also in perfect upright position. She lays on sandy grounds in
36 mtrs and has an overall length of 52 mtrs.

The combination of both specialities will only take 2-3 days, contains 3 dives and
extensive theory.
All dives will be made with NITROX
