The government has decided to implement an ECO Tax on accommodation – commencing as from July 2016
The ECO Tax will be 50 cents per day – BUT a max. of 5,- Euro per person for the holiday stay
The owners of the accommodations will have to collect this upon arrival from the guests and hand out a special receipt.
Murella Living is one of Gozo’s newest and most innovative accommodation concepts. Each of its 24 rooms has been individually designed in coherent themes that are inspired by Gozo’s classical sights and traditional motifs. Every room boasts an artistic creation splayed across one wall, either featuring celebrated aspects of Gozo in stylized design (panels of woodworks or wooden carvings that depict things such bunch of tomatoes, cross-section of bee-hive, prickly-pear branches, and so on) or a mural portraying some of Gozo’s quintessential sights. The Farmhouses Ta Doris are located on the outskirts of Xaghra with direct views over the Marsalforn valley. All farmhouses are lovingly equipped and enjoy a unspoilt view in absolute tranquillity. The houses are located next to each other on a hill-back. The center of Xaghra with a variety of great restaurants and bars is about 10 minutes away. Supermarkets are in the immediate vicinity.
Marsalforn can be reached by car in about 10 minutes. The famous Ramla Bay is a maximum of 15 minutes drive. Xaghra also offers a good bus system.
