Tauchen im Mittelmeer – Gozo, Malta & Comino

Gozo - the pearl of the Mediterranean

Experience the Mediterranean at its best

Diving in Gozo – an underwater paradise. Since the days of Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Hans Hass, the Mediterranean has lost none of its allure for divers. Even though some regions of the Mediterranean are affected by environmental problems, there are still places where its beauty and biodiversity unfold in all their glory. One of these special diving spots is Gozo.Gozo, the smaller sister island of Malta, lies about 150 kilometers south of Sicily in the heart of the Mediterranean. The island is a true paradise for divers and also offers numerous attractions for the whole family. Breathtaking underwater landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and fascinating biodiversity make Gozo one of the best diving destinations in the region.

A variety of dive sites for beginners and professionals

With over 40 dive sites, Gozo has something for everyone, from beginners to advanced and technical divers. Sites can be reached by land or boat, and day trips to the neighbouring island of Comino or the main Maltese archipelago add to the variety.
The diversity of the underwater world is impressive: wrecks, drop-offs, arches, caves, grottos, passages and tunnels make for an unforgettable diving experience. All this in crystal clear waters with fantastic visibility, where the sun's rays dance in a water temperature of at least 15 degrees.

Season & best conditions

In spring and autumn, divers can look forward to particularly atmospheric night dives as the sun sets early - but the temperatures remain pleasantly warm. Between June and November, air and water temperatures range between 20 and 30 degrees, and even higher in midsummer. Even in winter, temperatures rarely drop below double digits, making diving attractive all year round.

The underwater world is fascinating, with schools of small fish, barracudas, groupers, rays and even the occasional seahorse. Underwater photographers and macro enthusiasts will also enjoy the colourful variety of nudibranchs.
